Powering Taiwan’s Future Forum: E&L Co-Organises Dialogue on Energy Resilience and Infrastructure Finance for the AI Economy

Taipei, 9 June 2026 — Earth and Life Symbio (E&L) co-organized the forum “Powering Taiwan’s Future Series: Financing Energy Resilience in the AI Economy” in Taipei, together with the Taiwan ESG Cities Net Zero Breakthrough Association and Asia Sustainable Investment Forum (Asia SIF).

The forum convened policymakers, industry experts, financial leaders and representatives from 22 Taiwanese financial holding companies and banks to examine how Taiwan can strengthen energy security, accelerate renewable-energy deployment and mobilize finance to support the low-carbon transition of AI and semiconductor value chains.

As a global hub for semiconductor manufacturing and an increasingly important center for AI development, Taiwan faces a defining challenge: how to meet rapidly growing electricity demand while maintaining reliable supply, reducing dependence on imported energy and advancing its net-zero commitments. The forum created a timely platform for cross-sector dialogue on this challenge, connecting international experience with the practical needs of Taiwan’s energy and industrial transition.

Discussions explored the implications of the AI “supercycle” for Taiwan’s energy system; barriers to corporate renewable-energy procurement; and the role of green, blue and sovereign green bonds in financing clean-energy infrastructure and supply-chain decarbonization. Speakers also shared perspectives on offshore wind, innovative green-finance instruments, the RE100 transition and financing solutions tailored to small and medium-sized enterprises.

E&L Strategy Director and Co-Founder Yvonne Huang contributed to the trend-analysis panel, joining experts from investment, energy and industry to discuss how energy-system resilience and financial innovation can reinforce Taiwan’s long-term competitiveness. E&L’s co-organizing role reflected its commitment to advancing dialogue at the intersection of industrial transformation, energy transition and sustainable finance.

The forum underscored that Taiwan’s future competitiveness will depend not only on technological leadership, but also on building an economic model that aligns innovation with clean energy, energy security and resilient governance. By bringing together public, private and academic stakeholders, the event helped build shared momentum towards financing a more sustainable and energy-secure AI economy.
