Shanghai, 25 April 2026— Earth & Life Symbio (E&L) co-hosted the “Carbon Co-explore, Chain the Future Shore” Green Supply Chain Transition Forum during Shanghai Climate Week in Shanghai. The forum was jointly hosted by the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD) and Alibaba Group, and co-organised by E&L and the Global Solar and Storage Sustainability Alliance (GSSA).
The forum brought together representatives from international organisations, industry associations, financial institutions, technology platforms and leading companies across the automotive, solar and energy-storage value chains. Discussions explored how systemic collaboration can accelerate green supply chain transformation—from policy and market drivers to practical tools, corporate action and cross-sector partnerships.
E&L Co-founder and Executive Director Helen Jia joined the roundtable on green supply chain practices and pathways. She emphasized that value-chain decarbonisation cannot be achieved by individual companies in isolation. E&L sees multi-stakeholder networks—bringing together businesses, industry associations, international organisations and collaborative platforms—as vital to developing shared standards, managing risks and creating scalable models.
During the forum, E&L and GSSA formally signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), marking a substantive step towards advancing sustainability in the global solar and storage sector. Under the MoU, E&L will support GSSA’s expansion in international markets beyond China and help connect the initiative with international investors. The two organsation will also explore collaboration on multi-stakeholder dialogue and international exchange; clean-energy deployment; supply-chain due diligence and carbon-footprint management across solar and storage value chains; international standards alignment; green finance and investment; joint research and policy advocacy; and capacity building.
The forum demonstrated the collective momentum emerging across the green supply chain ecosystem. E&L will continue to work with GSSA and other global partners to translate dialogue into practical action—building collaborative networks, advancing standards and platforms, and supporting more resilient, low-carbon and sustainable supply chains worldwide.
